This site is focused

and materials that you will need to make quality biodiesel.

With the peaking* of world oil production we are presented with an ongoing situation where fuel price and availability is no longer assured. The only sure thing is that the price will increase. This will have a substantial impact on how we live our lives and the search for alternative fuel and energy sources has become a world wide quest. However, there is already a source of liquid transportation fuel that is available to anyone that has the ability to follow simple directions and a desire to be independent of the major fuel companies. Biofuels are the only liquid fuel alternative to declining fossil fuel reserves, while at the same time addressing the need for an environmentally friendly transportation fuel. Ethanol is currently attracting much interest as a blend with petrol to help supplement much of the light transportation fuel needs of this country. However, ethanol is difficult for an individual to produce economically. The other major transportation biofuel is biodiesel. Biodiesel has been around for years. Made from either new or recycled vegetable oil or from rendered animal fats, biodiesel represents an opportunity for individuals, small groups and farmers to become independent from the large fuel companies and their control over pricing and distribution. As large users of diesel fuel, and as potential suppliers of vegetable oil, farmers all over the world are looking seriously at biodiesel as a future fuel source. Large scale biodiesel plants have been available in Europe for several years now and are gaining a lot of interest in this country as well. D.I.Y. Biodiesel producers have been around for many years , but now with the looming shortage of fossil fuels and the availability of newer, smaller closed system biodiesel processors the D.I.Y.‘ers now seem less “looney fringe” and are becoming more mainstream. Being self sufficient (or at least partly so) is now the desire of everyone as we see the price of fossil liquid fuels skyrocket. Why Biodiesel ?
